About Dr. Omar Abdulsattar

Arabi Qahtani and a descendant of a well-known family belonging to the sheikhdom of the Dulaim tribes in Diyala and his lineage is related to the venerable companion Amr bin Ma'ad Karb al-Zubaidi, may Allah be pleased with him, born in Diyala province in 1956, where he completed his primary and secondary education in 1973 from the central preparatory school in Baquba

Study & Education

He completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Baghdad in 1980.

He completed his medical progression in Salah al-Din and Diyala hospitals and then moved to the Anbar Health Department.

Specialist in Epidemiology and Community Medicine in 1992 from Saddam Medical College

Director of Primary Health Care Department, Anbar Health Department, 1991-2000

Director of Primary Health Care Sector in Fallujah 2001 – 2002

He resigned from official office at the end of 2002

Captain of Iraqi Physicians Anbar Branch was elected in 2004

He was elected a member of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in 2006 from Anbar province within the Iraqi Accord Front

Former Vice Chairman of the Integrity Committee of the Iraqi Council of Representatives 2006–2010

Former Advisor at the New Iraq Center for Strategic Studies and Research 2017-2018
